How do I set up prayer notifications?
Open Hayya, go to Settings → Notifications. Enable Adhan alerts for each prayer individually. Make sure to grant notification permission when prompted. You can also choose your preferred Adhan recitation sound for each prayer.
How accurate is the Qibla direction?
Hayya uses your device's built-in compass and GPS to calculate the precise direction to the Kaaba in Makkah. For best accuracy, hold your phone flat and away from metal objects. Calibrate by moving your phone in a figure-8 motion.
Is Hayya completely free?
Yes! All core features — prayer times, Qibla, Quran, Adhan alerts, and Hijri calendar — are completely free forever. No account required, no hidden fees.
How do I change my prayer calculation method?
Go to Settings → Prayer Times → Calculation Method. Hayya supports all major methods including Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian General Authority, Umm Al-Qura (Makkah), and more. Choose the method recommended by your local religious authority.
Is my location data stored or shared?
No. Your location is only used on-device to calculate local prayer times. It is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties. You can review our full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I switch the app language?
Hayya automatically uses your device language. To change it, go to your device Settings → Hayya → Language. The app supports 15 languages including English, Turkish, Arabic, German, French, Spanish, Indonesian, and more.
